"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God." - 2 Corinthians 1:3-4
Today, as we come before our God, kindly lift up in your prayers Christina Ramos, JKKCC's secretary. Tin-Tin, as most of us would call her, suffered the untimely and tragic death of her older sister. Pray for the whole family. Pray for comfort and peace. Pray also for strength, encouragement and faith on the part of Tin-Tin. Pray also for God's provision for the burial. Be one with us this coming Friday, January 14, 7:00 pm, as we hold the funeral service.
Father, we confess that we don't fully understand everything and there are times that our hearts do fail. Fail to discern the situation and even fail to fully trust in you. During this trying and difficult time for our dear sister Tin-Tin, may we all find ourselves still trusting in your unfailing love. We may not understand everything but enable us to trust your heart. Enable Tin-Tin to see you in all of this situation. Envelope her with your abiding presence - that You are true to Your Word when You said that, "I will never leave you, nor forsake you." Embrace her right now. Assure her that You are still in full control of the situation. Most of all, comfort her. May she find her strength in you. Indeed, there's a time for everything. This may be a time for grieving and mourning. But remind her, that a time of healing and rejoicing will come too. All in your perfect time. Provide for all their needs. Let everyone know that You know how to take care of the needs of your servant. In Jesus name, Amen.
